ERP Odoo Specialist

Overall Purpose of the role

Ensure the smooth development, customization, and maintenance of the company’s ERP (Odoo) for the Operations teams. The ERP Specialist will play a hybrid role: understanding business needs, proposing and prioritizing developments, ensuring their technical implementation, and resolving incidents.

Key Activity Areas

• Business needs analysis
• Gather and challenge the needs of operational teams.
• Formalize functional specifications.
• Identify gaps between existing processes and standard Odoo features.
• Design & Development
• Develop, configure, and customize Odoo modules in agreement with other owners and service providers.
• Integrate APIs and other third-party systems.
• Ensure the quality, performance, and security of developments.
• Support & Maintenance
• Provide level 2/3 user support (diagnosis, bug resolution).
• Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation.
• Monitor ERP patches and updates.
• Management and Coordination
• Prioritize and manage development requests.
• Ensure communication between business teams and the technical department.
• Propose process optimizations and participate in change management.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Computer Science, IS (HES or EPF), or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of French (spoken and written) and good knowledge of English.

Experience / Technical Skills

• Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience with an ERP system, ideally Odoo.
• Experience in Python/Odoo development and functional analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, and JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of Odoo modules (CRM, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Accounting, etc.).
• Experience in REST/JSON API integration.
