Senior Product Manager @Cultivated Biosciences
Your Mission:
As a Senior Product Manager, you will bridge the gap between our groundbreaking lab innovations and the needs of our B2B clients, helping to bring our novel ingredient to life in real-world applications. This is your chance to shape the future of food by taking a lead role in scaling our emulsion solutions from prototype to production.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Leadership
– Develop and drive a product strategy that aligns with our mission to deliver creamy, dairy alternatives.
– Oversee multiple projects, balancing quality, timelines, and budgets while maintaining our commitment to excellence.
– Build and nurture partnerships with suppliers, research institutions, and external stakeholders, ensuring every step forward strengthens our impact.
Technical Leadership
– Lead the development of convincing prototypes for our novel foods, with a focus on texture, taste, and functionality for B2B applications.
– Optimize formulations for value-added dairy-free applications such as creamers, yogurts, and protein shakes.
– Design and implement testing and physical analysis protocols to ensure product consistency and meet food safety standards.
– Guide the R&D team through troubleshooting and refining formulations during scale-up.
Collaboration & Impact
– Act as the technical voice of Cultivated Biosciences developing our product roadmap, delivering client-facing presentations and leading product demonstrations.
– Translate client needs into actionable R&D priorities, aligning technical development with market demands.
– Mentor and inspire a team of scientists, fostering a culture based on our values (Common Growth, Ownership, Care, Impactful).
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who shares our excitement for sustainable food innovation and has the expertise to back it up:
– A PhD or Master’s in Food Science, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in R&D.
– Deep knowledge of emulsion systems and experience with dairy or dairy-alternative applications.
– Hands-on experience scaling products from lab to production, especially for dairy beverages or semi-solid foods like yoghurt, protein shakes, coffee creamer etc.
– A strong grasp of food physics, physical chemistry, and regulatory compliance.
– A collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a knack for leading diverse teams.
