WHO ARE WE?
People who like food & beer! ProSeed is a startup dedicated to revolutionizing the utilization of Brewer’s Spent Grain (BSG), a byproduct generated by breweries in the beer production process. Our mission: bridge the gap between breweries and food ingredient manufacturers. ProSeed is developing an innovative technology to transform BSG into high-value raw materials that we call Barley Flakes. We create a reliable source of domestic, cost-effective, and high-quality materials, contributing to a more sustainable future. Today, our main priorities are to set up a pilot production facility and open up the barley flakes market.

WHY WE NEED YOU
As a Food Product Development Intern at ProSeed, you will play a vital role in crafting innovative food products using our unique Barley Flakes. Your internship will involve hands-on experience in product development, collaborating closely with our interdisciplinary team and industry experts. Your work will help to create the future market of upcycled raw material as a qualitative and competitive raw material in the food industry.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Product Formulation: Lead the development of novel food products utilizing ProSeed’s Barley Flakes, with a focus on understanding functional properties and ingredient interactions related to barley.
Testing and Evaluation: Design and conduct trials for Barley Flakes-based products suitable for large-scale production, such as bakery products, pastas, and texturized vegetable protein (TVP).
Industry Collaboration: Maintain close communication with industrial producers to conduct trials of the developed products, gathering insights and addressing concerns related to our Barley Flakes.
Portfolio Expansion: Explore opportunities to expand ProSeed’s product portfolio based on the unique properties of Brewer’s Spent Grain.
