Bioprocess Engineer

Role Responsibility

• Build up cell culture lab for in-house cell tests
• Execute cell viability assays and define cell cultivation protocols end-to-end (including cell bank establishment)
• Lead collaboration with external partners for additional tests
• Develop a set-up for dynamic cell cultivation based on existing bioreactor systems
• Translate customer requests into cell protocols and prepare data for presentations
• Collaborate and support the product development team

Requirements

• Master’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of working experience in biotechnology, cell biology, biomedical engineering, molecular life sciences or related fields.
• Prior experience in building up and running a cell lab (incl. establishment of a cell bank, execution and analysis of cell viability assays, development of cell culture protocols)
• Solid understanding of regulations applying for cell labs and their operation
• Ideally experience in bioreactor operations
• Strong ownership and hands-on mentality to execute projects and processes with limited guidance.
• Excellent communication skills in English to convey and translate technical and scientific challenges across the multidisciplinary team
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
